Costume Catastrophe
Halloween is here, and this year Meowki plans to maximise the amount of candy gained from trick-or-treating by switching costumes before visiting each house, choosing each costume to pander to the candy-givers. However, there's one problem: the costumes are all on shelves, and Meowki can't quite reach...
A one-button dress-up game originally created in under 72 hours for GDQ One Mechanic Game Jam 5, following the "trick-or-treat" theme. Godot's web exports have some issues with audio desync, so downloading the executables is recommended for the best experience.
New in Version 1.1!
Double the outfits! Meowki has collected 6 more costumes since last year's Halloween and can't wait to try them out!
How to Play
The whole game is controlled via the space key.
Meowki will name a costume. It's then up to you to stop the Bounce Force (jump height) and Grapple Focus (grab offset) meters at the right points in order to grab the correct costume parts. Each costume consists of 3 parts, and once you've assembled one, Meowki will head to the next house and be given candy proportional to the quality of the costume.
Tips
- Be sparing with your Bounce Force: it's possible to overshoot!
- A complete but incorrect costume is better than a partially correct one.
- Every day is Halloween unless you're a coward.
